Sorry, the photo isn't great, yesturday I decorated my nails in a cosmic/space like design. Using a mix of purples, navys and glittery polishes, finishing off with little white specks for the stars.

sewing the invisible, paper dresses

One of the most influential artists I researched for my laser cutting projects is Jum Nakao. He is most famous for his 'Costura da Invisivel' (Sewing the Invisible) collection, a dress collection made entirely of paper. I like the effect the photographer has used in the photos above to create a kind of silent film, ghostly effect.

Work from my textiles project.
Only 2 days left and the first semester is finally over!! :) I can't wait to go home for Christmas..and maybe get an advent calender hahaa. Now all I really need to worry about is finding a placement for next year, and the next semester..eeeek. :(

coco avant chanel

Audrey Tautou pulls off the androgynous look perfectly, I love the tweed, waistcoats, blazers and peacoats, check prints, breton stripes, bow ties, black and white and earthy colours and hats.

digital prints

These are the prints I designed whilst working at Mirjam Rouden. I hand drew them using sharpie pens then scanned all my images onto the mac to manipulate in photoshop.

and more charity shop finds..

Sorry for the lack of updates, this has been due to having no internet for awhail. I haven't really got anything interesting to post about really -_-
Well, the other week I discovered a new charity shop hidden in Leeds which was really good! I got these boots for £1.50, they remind me so much of doc martens.

I also bought a tartan print skirt for £1, it was alot longer so I shortened and rehemmed it, which I do with many skirts and dresses I find secound hand.

This is a Laura Ashley floral print dress I got from Leeds outdoor market, it was originally £5 but I managed to get it for £2 ^_^ I'm definitely going to shorten this as it comes down to my ankles!
